General Cost Information
Crafting compelling Web sites is our main business. We treat your project
as the unique project it is, and we custom-build your site
to suit your needs. So each project must have its
own custom pricing to reflect its unique characteristics.
Bearing that in mind, we offer the following general guidelines:

"page", experience tells us our charges run
approximately $65 - $85 an hour on average and include services
like consultation, site planning, graphic design, writing, programming,
scanning, HTML/JavaScript development, etc.

Having a focused purpose and refined source material saves you
money.
- on the other hand, some sites should be complex and deep.
It depends on your purpose and the needs of your audience.
- professionally created sites now on the Web range in cost from
$1,000 to $1 million or more -- it all depends on a wide variety of
factors. You may or may not need all the latest bells
and whistles on your site. Call on us to help
you determine your real needs and the costs of meeting them.
Three Price Range Examples
- Basic: $1,000 - $4,000; your on-line
"brochure"; includes basic information about your company,
product or service; basic Web technology like text, graphics, simple
forms and hyperlinks.
- Intermediate: $4,000 - $10,000;
your on-line "brolio with multiple inserts"; includes
extensive amount of information; sophisticated level of Web
technology.
- Advanced: $10,000 +; the full spectrum of Web technology
to meet your most advanced needs.
General Requirements
- Client provides and approves/authenticates all source material.
- Source material in a standard electronic format is preferred.
- Client identifies single point of contact for liaison and reviews.

Shared Web Hosting
We lease a dedicated server from
Rackspace, one of the largest, most respected hosting
companies in the world. Rackspace offers a reliable infrastructure with connections to multiple backbones.

The hosting plan described above offers
the basic services required by most companies/organizations.
We'd be glad to tailor a hosting plan to satisfy any additional requirements
you may have.
Dedicated Web Hosting
If you need your own server, we can find a configuration
that satisfies your technical requirements and cost constraints.
We can then manage the server for you. If you need multiple, high
performance servers, we can work with the hosting company to provide
load-balancing, redundancy, performance monitoring
and a managed firewall.
Although we currently prefer
Rackspace,
there are several other companies that offer reliable, dedicated
Web hosting. Prices typical begin at around
$250 per month plus a one-time setup fee.
Our charges to manage your server will depend on your requirements.
We can charge by the hour or a fixed monthly fee.
Content Management Tool
We also offer use of our Content Management Tool (CMT), which makes it easy
to maintain your site. The Web-based tool allows you to add, change and
delete sections of your site. You can also easily manage document lists or
product lists. The CMT uses templates that define the page layout. This allows you
to focus on the content for each page without worrying about the header, footer
and navigation elements. Changes to the site can be previewed before they
are "published." The tool allows you to password protect any section of your

There is a one-time setup fee to create templates for your site. The
cost depends on the number and complexity of your templates. The
ongoing cost for using the CMT is an additional $120 per year.

We are fortunate to have agreements with some very proficient, quick, and
detail-oriented Web developers that can provide maintenance services at
a reasonable rate.
- Advertising: listing your Web site with the major WWW
search engines, $100.
- Consulting: $75 - $100 per hour.
